Wisdom Teeth Extraction

team
Wisdom teeth start to erupt as early as 8-10 years old, fully developing by the ages of 18 to 21. The jawbone typically reaches adult size by the time we are in our late teens. Since the jaw is often too small to accommodate the wall of our fully grown teeth, here is where the issues start. Because of this, there is not enough room for wisdom teeth to emerge, which may lead to several problems.

Wisdom teeth push on already-erupted teeth as they attempt to erupt into the mouth when there is insufficient space for them. This may be quite painful or uncomfortable. Wisdom teeth may sometimes be sideways and press on your rear molar roots. Occasionally, they cause other teeth to move, which is undesirable, particularly if you have already had orthodontic treatment.

Symptoms from wisdom teeth can include shifting teeth, swelling, bad breath, trouble fully opening mouth and general mouth soreness among other things. If your wisdom teeth having fully come in, contact our Waterloo dental office today to book an appointment for a wisdom teeth extraction.
